Keynote speakers – Michal Pelzig, Hess Corporation

Ms. Pelzig has almost 30 years of work experience in the oil and gas and chemical industries, and as a sustainability management consultant to Global 500 companies. She joined Hess Corporation in 2008, with responsibility for the company’s sustainability reporting and verification, including annual corporate sustainability reports and investor environmental, social and governance surveys. She also provides support for Hess's corporate climate change strategy and programs, particularly in the areas of GHG emissions verification, Scope 3 emissions, carbon markets, and industry sector energy efficiency best practices.
Michal holds a B.S. in Biochemistry/Biology from Southampton College, a B.S. in Geology from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, and a graduate degree in Biochemical Sciences from Princeton University. She drives a Prius, has a residential solar PV system, lights her house with CFLs and LEDs, and is enrolled in her local utility Demand Response program.
